I'm a new man, not the same as your last.
Let me be me, leave the old in the past.
The mistakes they made, they will not be mine,
This relationship of ours, it'll work this time.
Just a little piece I wrote after my girlfriend made a comment about her ex. So many girls compare their new partner to their old one, expecting them to be just as bad. We aren't all dicks, don't expect us to be.
